Abstract By taking Shaogang Township as an example,the article analyses the effect of accidental factor on regional economic development.Evidences show that under the favourable condition accidental factor plays an important role in regional development.To some degree,the accidental factor determines the direction of specialization in regional development.Furthermore,the extent of influence of accidental factor on the regional economy varies from region to region.
